Dimapur, Nagaland, India

I was so excited to come across this video of Dimapur.

My father lived in Dimapur, Nagaland, India for a few years and he was an officer in the Indian army.   Our mother, my younger sister and youngest brother would visit him for holiday while my other siblings (we being older) would live in Shillong while attending school.  This was in the early the1960s.  This video below brings back warm memories.

I spent many years in Shillong; as a small child, as teenager and briefly as an adult. The beauty of this place is etched in my mind so whenever I miss it, I know, all I have to do is, close my eyes and picture it. So many memories come to mind especially enjoying family picnics in Cheerapunjee and Upper Shillong. We often shopped in Police Bazaar and Bara Bazaar. If you ever to travel to Shillong, you will not regret it.
