A Time in Shillong, Meghalaya, India
I remember a "time" when I was in High School, my buddies and I would hang out in an "all-vegetarian" restaurant. We were Khasi, Assamese, a Bengali, Lushai and myself a Gurkha girl. We'd pool in all our change and feast on "dosas," "cholay" and "chai". We'd hunker down while it rained outside, sharing secrets and gossip like no other, discussing the book, "Peyton Place." Nobody had any clue as to what "time" it was. I miss my youth and Shillong. This is actually the best time of the year to travel to Shillong, Meghalaya (a place where I spent my teenage years). "Time" as in the past tense; "time" as in the present tense; I will always remember Shillong; I miss Shillong; looking forward to when I can visit Shillong again. Like many Shillongites who live overseas, I follow many YouTubers and enjoy their videos of Shillong. "Time" -- look at this watch folks!!
