When I was growing up in Shillong, Meghalaya (Assam - India), my high school buddies and I would sometimes go for long strols along Police Bazaar and stop for tea and conversation with other friends. "Hangouts" were always awaited early by us (teen-agers). We could relax, talk about the latest novels or books; ponder world events; above all we'd enjoy our tea!! In those days in the late 1950s and early 1960s, tea was one of Assam's biggest exports and it remains.

As a lover of tea: tea in the morning, tea in the afternoon, tea at dinner time; I want to say that the tea grown in multiple plantations of Assam are incredibly aromatic like the Assam black tea, Indian tea, the English Breakfast tea.
